Happy Valentines Day

The last few weeks has been very busy for Zoe.  She is not only in gymnastics but is learning to swim. She is currently learning to kick her feet using a swimming board.  She really likes getting in the pool and splash around. With Nathaniel's wrestling season coming to an end she has had the opportunity to watch Nathaniel wrestle.  Actually she likes going for the hot dog and popcorn we buy her.  She definitely likes popcorn.

We have Zoe to be quite stealth when she wants to be.  Nick Jr. is her favorite TV station and she often watches Dora, Ni-Hao Kailynn, Yo Gabba Gabba, and other shows.  However, somtimes while we think she is watching the television we have found out she likes to explore (very quietly).  The other night she must have crawled on the floor and made it to our kitchen without anyone noticing. All the cabinets have child proof locks that she has figured out (quite astute and very smart).  This time she went into the spice drawer. Located a small bottle that smelled good and decided to taste it. It was peppermint oil for baking. Needless to say, although it smelled good, it was way to strong for her taste. The oil did not immediately go away so she had that taste in her mouth for a while.   Needless to say, she will not come even remotely close to the spice drawer anymore.

The two pictures of Zoe below are part of her gymnastics class.  To the left is her pose on the balance beam and her classmates on the right.  She looks forward to going to gymnastics and often shows us her latest moves when she gets home.

Tomorrow is Valentines day so Zoe is writing her Valentines cards to all her class mates at her school. Should be fun for her as this will be her first Valentines day with us. I am sure she wil like her littl box of chocolates and th eother goodies Sonja has for her. Happy Valentines day to all of you!

The other two pictures are Nathaniel wrestling varsity as a freshman.  It was a good experience though the other boys were a little to strong/fast for him.  However, he gave it his all.  He made it to districts but fell short of making to the state tournament.

Well that is about all for now.  I have to go out and shovel the snow off the driveway.  We had a very warm January but are paying for it in February with two snows and maybe a ice storm to hit on Wednesday.  So stay warm and stay safe.
